Our lives have greatly changed due to COVID-19. This means that as a community we have made a great deal of adjustments to manage ourselves and our business in order to ensure the health and safety of our students, employees, and their families. It is our highest priority to do everything in our power to keep everyone safe.
Ithaca Montessori Preschool will be adhering to the CDC and DHS COVID-19 protocols and requirements for child care programs:
Adults wear masks. Children over the age of four wear face masks.
Hands are washed for 20 seconds before snacks and lunch. Employees wash their hands before and after serving food and as appropriate throughout the day.
Hands are washed if a child sneezes and coughs.
Bathrooms are sanitized throughout the day, including before and after a child uses the facilities.
Tables and chairs are sanitized before children arrive and throughout the day.
Children are assigned their own work area while socially distancing.
Deep cleaning and disinfecting of the classroom is executed daily according to the CDC guidelines before and after the school day.
